Update

That is right! The baseball field is taking shape. Yes, we have begun building the field. We had to cut down about 12 trees to fit the backstop in deep enough to get the infield out of the Rugby field.

We purchased the steel about a month ago, cut it welded it and painted it. Fortunately, we have been able to do about everything without paying for labor. The players are working hard. Without electricity and water at the field yet it has been a tricky thing to build the backstop but praise the Lord it is coming along but somewhat slowly.

The biggest challenge is raising the 30 foot high sections by hand. We are doing the fencing and assembly on the ground for as many section as possible so that we will not have to do the tedious work in the air. For the two side section that means lifting into place by hand about 2000 pounds of steel and fencing! You can tell from the picture we have come up with a creative way to do it with scaffolding!

We have enough money to complete the backstop but we are praying for more money to come in to do the infield, dugouts and other fencing so that it is ready for next season.

Fortunately we are still playing on the old field but they will start building an new artificial turf soccer field on it any day and then we will not be able to play there. Please pray for the additional funds to come in and please share with anyone who may be interested in investing is this great Sports Ministry opportunity!
