1 Paul, an R1 apostle of Christ R2 Jesus by R3F1 the will of God, To the saints R4F2 who are at F3 Ephesus R5 and who R6 are faithful in Christ R2 Jesus: 2 Grace R7 to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed R8 be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the R9 heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He R10 chose us in Him before the R11 foundation of the world, that we would be holy R12 and blameless before Him. F4 In R13 love 5 He F5 predestined R14 us to adoption R15 as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according R16 to the kind F6 intention of His will, 6 to R17 the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the R18 Beloved. 7 In R19 Him F7 we have redemption R20 through R21 His blood, the forgiveness R22 of our trespasses, according to the R23 riches of His grace 8 which He lavished F8 on us. F9 In all wisdom and insight 9 He made R24F10 known to us the mystery of His will, according R25 to His kind F11 intention which He purposed R26 in Him 10 with a view to an administration suitable F12 to the R27 fullness of the times, that is, the R28 summing up of all things in Christ, things in F13 the heavens and things on the earth. In Him 11 also F14 we have R29F15 obtained an inheritance, having been predestined R30 according R31 to His purpose who works all things after R32 the counsel of His will, 12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ F16 would be to R33 the praise of His glory. 13 In Him, F17 you also, after listening to the R34 message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, F18 you were sealed R35 in Him F17 with the R36 Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given R37F19 as a pledge of our R38 inheritance, with a view to the redemption R39 of God's R40 own possession, to R41 the praise of His glory.
15 For this reason I too, having R42 heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your F20 love for all R43 the saints, F2116 do R44 not cease giving thanks for you, while R45 making mention of you in my prayers; 17 that the God R46 of our Lord Jesus Christ, the R47 Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom R48 and of revelation R49 in the knowledge F22 of Him. 18 I pray that the R50 eyes of your heart may F23 be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope R51 of His calling, R52 what are the R53 riches of the glory of His R54 inheritance in the R55 saints, F2419 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These R56 are in accordance with the working of the strength R57 of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised R58 Him from the dead and seated R59 Him at His right hand in the R60 heavenly places, 21 far above all R61 rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name R62 that is named, not only in this R63 age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put R64 all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head R65 over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, R66 the fullness R67 of Him who fills R68 all R69 in all.
1 And you were F25 dead R70 in F26 your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly R71 walked according to the course F27 of this R72 world, according to the R73 prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the R74 sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly R75 lived in the R76 lusts of our flesh, indulging F28 the desires of the flesh and of the mind, F29 and were by R77 nature children R78 of wrath, even R79 as the rest.
4 But God, being rich R80 in mercy, because of His R81 great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead R82 in F30 our transgressions, made us alive together with F31 Christ (by R83 grace you have been saved), 6 and raised R84 us up with Him, and seated R85 us with Him in the R86 heavenly places in Christ R87 Jesus, 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches R88 of His grace in kindness R89 toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by R90 grace you have been saved through R91 faith; and that F32 not of yourselves, it is the R92 gift of God; 9 not R93 as a result of works, so that no R94 one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created R95 in Christ R96 Jesus for good R97 works, which God prepared R98 beforehand so that we would walk R99 in them.
11 Therefore remember that formerly R100 you, R101 the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called "Uncircumcision" R102 by the so-called "Circumcision," R102 which is performed in the flesh by human hands-- 12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded R103F33 from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the R104 covenants of promise, having no R105 hope and without R106 God in the world. 13 But now in Christ R107 Jesus you who formerly R108 were far R109 off have F34 been R109 brought near by R110F35 the blood of Christ.
14 For He Himself is our R111 peace, who R112 made both groups into one and broke down the barrier F36 of the dividing wall, 15 by F37 abolishing R113 in His flesh the enmity, which is the R114 Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make R115F38 the two into one R116 new man, thus establishing peace, R11716 and might reconcile R118 them both in one R119 body to God through the cross, by F39 it having put R120 to death the enmity. 17 AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR; 18 for through Him we both have our R124 access in one R125 Spirit to the R126 Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers R127 and aliens, but you are fellow R128 citizens with the saints, F40 and are of God's R129 household, 20 having been built R130 on the R131 foundation of the R132 apostles and prophets, Christ R133 Jesus Himself being the corner R134 stone, 21 in R135 whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a R136 holy temple F41 in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built R137 together into a dwelling R138 of God in the Spirit.
