Folly and Wickedness of Men.
For the choir director; according to Mahalath. F477 A Maskil F477 of David.
1 The R1593 fool has said in his heart, "There is no God,"
They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice;
There R1594 is no one who does good.
2 God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men
To see if there is anyone R1595 who understands, F478
Who seeks R1596 after God.
3 Every R1597 one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt;
There is no one who does good, not even one.
4 Have the workers of wickedness no R1598 knowledge,
Who eat up My people as though they ate bread
And have not called upon God?
5 There they were in great fear F479 where R1599 no fear F479 had been;
For God scattered R1600 the bones of him F480 who encamped against you;
You put R1601 them to shame, because God R1602 had rejected them.
6 Oh, that the R1603 salvation of Israel would F481 come out of Zion!
When God restores F482 His captive people,
Let F483 Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad. FOOTNOTES:
