But He was pierced F741 through for our R2203 transgressions, He was crushed for our R2204 iniquities; The chastening R2205 for our well-being F742 fell upon Him, And by His R2206 scourging we are healed.
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open R2207 His mouth; Like R2208 a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth.
Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this: "HE WAS LED AS A SHEEP TO SLAUGHTER; AND AS A LAMB BEFORE ITS SHEARER IS SILENT, SO HE DOES NOT OPEN HIS MOUTH.
