Remember, LORD, in David's behalf, All ^(C1)his affliction;

How he swore to the LORD And vowed to ^(C1)the Mighty One of Jacob,

"I certainly will not ^(F1)enter ^(C1)my house, Nor ^(F2)lie on my bed;

I will not ^(C1)give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids,

Until I find a ^(C1)place for the LORD, ^(F1)A dwelling place for ^(C2)the Mighty One of Jacob."

Behold, we heard about it in ^(C1)Ephrathah, We found it in the ^(C2)field of ^(F1)Jaar.

Let's go into His ^(F1)(C1)dwelling place; Let's ^(C2)worship at His ^(C3)footstool.

^(C1)Arise, LORD, to Your ^(C2)resting place, You and the ark of Your ^(C3)strength.

May Your priests be ^(C1)clothed with righteousness, And may Your ^(C2)godly ones sing for joy.

For the sake of Your servant David, Do not turn away the face of Your ^(C1)anointed.

The LORD has ^(C1)sworn to David A truth from which He will not turn back: "I will set upon your throne one ^(C2)from the fruit of your body.

-"If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I will teach them, Their sons also will ^(C1)sit upon your throne forever."

For the LORD has ^(C1)chosen Zion; He has ^(C2)desired it as His dwelling place.

"This is My ^(C1)resting place forever; Here I will ^(C2)dwell, for I have desired it.

-"I will abundantly ^(C1)bless her food; I will ^(C2)satisfy her needy with bread.

-"I will also clothe her ^(C1)priests with salvation, And her ^(C1)godly ones will sing aloud for joy.

-"I will make the ^(C1)horn of David spring forth there; I have prepared a ^(C2)lamp for My anointed.

-"I will ^(C1)clothe his enemies with shame, But upon himself his ^(C2)crown will gleam."
