Jeremiah 9:10
"For the mountains [1] I will take up a weeping and wailing, And for the pastures of the wilderness [2] a dirge, Because they are laid [3] waste so that no one passes through, And the lowing of the cattle is not heard; Both the birds [4] of the sky and the beasts have fled; they are gone.
Jeremiah 9:17
Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Consider and call for the mourning [1] women, that they may come; And send for the wailing [2] [3] women, that they may come!
Jeremiah 9:18
"Let them make haste and take up a wailing for us, That our eyes [1] may shed tears And our eyelids flow with water.
Jeremiah 9:19
"For a voice of wailing [1] is heard from Zion, `How [2] are we ruined! We are put to great shame, For we have left [3] the land, Because they have cast down our dwellings.' "
Jeremiah 9:20
Now hear the word of the LORD, O you women, [1] And let your ear receive the word of His mouth; Teach your daughters wailing, And everyone her neighbor a dirge.
