1 Then I saw an R985 angel coming down from heaven, holding the key R986 of the abyss and a great chain in F229 his hand. 2 And he laid hold of the dragon, R987 the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound R988 him for a thousand years; 3 and he threw him into the abyss, R989 and shut it and sealed R990 it over him, so that he would not R991 deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time. 4 Then I saw thrones, R992 and they R993 sat on them, and judgment R994 was given to them. And I saw the R995 souls of those who had been beheaded because of their F230 testimony R996 of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped R997 the beast or his image, and had not received the mark R998 on their forehead and on their hand; and they came R999 to life and reigned R1000 with Christ for a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This R1001 is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed R1002 and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second R1003 death has no power, but they will be priests R1004 of God and of Christ and will reign R1005 with Him for a thousand years. 7 When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released R1006 from his prison, 8 and will come out to deceive R1007 the nations which are in the four R1008 corners of the earth, Gog R1009 and Magog, to gather R1010 them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand R1011 of the seashore. F2319 And they came R1012 up on the broad F232 plain of the earth and surrounded the camp R1013 of the saints F233 and the beloved R1014 city, and fire R1015 came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the R1016 devil who deceived R1016 them was thrown into the lake R1017 of fire and brimstone, F234 where the beast R1018 and the false R1018 prophet are also; and they will be tormented R1019 day and night forever and ever.
11 Then I saw a great white throne R1020 and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence F235 earth R1021 and heaven fled away, and no R1022 place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great R1023 and the small, standing before the throne, and books R1024F236 were opened; and another book F237 was opened, which is the R1025 book of life; and the dead were R1023 judged from the things which were written in the books, F236 according R1026 to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death R1027 and Hades gave R1028 up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according R1029 to their deeds. 14 Then death R1030 and Hades were thrown into the R1031 lake of fire. This is the second R1032 death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's F238 name was not found written in the R1033 book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
1 Then I saw a R1034 new heaven and a new earth; for the R1035 first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. 2 And I saw the R1036 holy city, new R1037 Jerusalem, coming R1038 down out of heaven from God, made R1039 ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the R1040 tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell R1041F239 among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, F2404 and He will wipe R1042 away every tear from their eyes; and there R1043 will no longer be any death; there R1044 will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the R1045 first things have passed away." 5 And He R1046 who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making R1047 all things new." And He said, "Write, for these R1048 words are faithful and true." 6 Then He said to me, "It R1049F241 is done. I am the Alpha R1050 and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I R1051 will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water R1052 of life without cost. 7 "He R1053 who overcomes will inherit these things, and I R1054 will be his God and he will be My son. 8 "But R1055 for the cowardly and unbelieving F242 and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the R1056 lake that burns with fire and brimstone, F243 which is the second R1057 death."
9 Then R1058 one of the seven angels who had the seven R1059 bowls full F244 of the seven R1060 last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, "Come R1058 here, I will show you the bride, R1061 the wife of the Lamb." 10 And he R1062 carried me away in R1063F245 the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the R1064 holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, 11 having the R1065 glory of God. Her brilliance F246 was like a very costly stone, as a stone R1066 of crystal-clear R1067 jasper. 12 It F247 had a great and high wall, with R1068F247 twelve gates, R1069 and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve R1070 foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve R1071 apostles of the Lamb. 15 The one who spoke with me had a gold F248 measuring rod R1072 to measure the city, and its gates R1073 and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, F249 fifteen F250 hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal. 17 And he measured its wall, seventy-two F251 yards, according to human R1074 measurements, F252 which are also angelic R1075 measurements. 18 The material of the wall was jasper; R1076 and the city was pure R1077 gold, like clear F253 glass. R107819 The R1079 foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was jasper; R1080 the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; R108120 the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; R1082 the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates R1083 were twelve pearls; R1084 each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure R1085 gold, like transparent glass. R108622 I saw no R1087 temple F254 in it, for the Lord R1088 God the Almighty and the Lamb R1089 are its temple. F25423 And the city has R1090 no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the R1091 glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb. R109224 The R1093 nations will walk by its light, and the kings R1094 of the earth will F255 bring their glory into it. 25 In the daytime (for there R1095 will be no night there) its R1096 gates will R1097 never be closed; 26 and they R1098 will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; 27 and nothing R1099 unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose F256 names are written R1100 in the Lamb's book of life.
1 Then he R1101 showed me a river R1102 of the water R1103 of life, clear F257 as R1104 crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the F258 Lamb, 2 in the middle of its R1105 street. On R1106 either side of the river was the R1107 tree of life, bearing twelve kinds F259 of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 There R1108 will no longer be any curse; and the R1109 throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve R1110 Him; 4 they will see R1111 His face, and His name R1112 will be on their foreheads. R11135 And there R1114 will no longer be any night; and they will F260 not have need of R1115 the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign R1116 forever and ever.
6 And he R1117 said to me, "These R1118 words are faithful and true"; and the Lord, the God R1119 of the spirits of the prophets, sent R1120 His angel to show to His bond-servants the things which must soon take place. 7 "And behold, I R1121 am coming quickly. Blessed R1122 is he who heeds F261 the R1123 words of the prophecy of this book." 8 I, R1124 John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I R1125 fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9 But he R1126 said to me, "Do not do that. I am a fellow R1127 servant of yours and of your brethren the prophets and of those who heed F262 the words of this R1128 book. Worship God." 10 And he said to me, "Do R1129 not seal up the R1130 words of the prophecy of this book, for R1131 the time is near. 11 "Let R1132 the one who does wrong, still do wrong; and the one who is filthy, still be filthy; and let the one who is righteous, still practice righteousness; and the one who is holy, still keep himself holy." 12 "Behold, I R1133 am coming quickly, and My reward R1134 is with Me, to R1135 render to every man according F263 to what he has done. 13 "I am the Alpha R1136 and the Omega, the R1137 first and the last, the R1138 beginning and the end." 14 Blessed are those who wash R1139 their robes, so that they may have the right to the R1140 tree of life, and may enter R1141 by the gates R1142 into the city. 15 Outside R1143 are the dogs R1144 and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying. 16 "I, R1145 Jesus, have sent My R1146 angel to testify to you these things for R1147F264 the churches. I am the R1148 root and the descendant R1149 of David, the bright morning R1150 star." 17 The Spirit R1151 and the bride R1152 say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let R1153 the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water R1154 of life without cost. 18 I testify to everyone who hears the R1155 words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds R1156 to them, God will add to him the R1157 plagues which are written in this R1158 book; 19 and if anyone takes R1159 away from the words R1160 of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the R1161 tree of life and from F265 the holy city, which R1162 are written in this book.
20 He who testifies R1163 to these things says, "Yes, I R1164 am coming quickly." Amen. Come, R1165 Lord Jesus. 21 The R1166 grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. F266 Amen.
