1 After these R210 things I looked, and behold, a R211 door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like R212 the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, "Come R213 up here, and I will show R214 you what must take place after these things." 2 Immediately I was in R215F41 the Spirit; and behold, a R216 throne was standing in heaven, and One R217 sitting on the throne. 3 And He who was sitting was like a jasper R218 stone and a sardius R219 in appearance; and there was a rainbow R220F42 around the throne, like an emerald R221 in appearance. 4 Around R222 the throne were twenty-four R223 thrones; and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four R224 elders sitting, R225 clothed in white R226 garments, and golden R227 crowns on their heads. 5 Out from the throne come flashes R228 of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. And there were seven R229 lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the R230 seven Spirits of God; 6 and before the throne there was something like a sea R231 of glass, like crystal; and in the center F43 and around R232 the throne, four R233 living creatures full R234 of eyes in front and behind. 7 The R235 first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like that of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four R236 living creatures, each one of them having six R237 wings, are full R238 of eyes around and within; and day R239 and night they F44 do not cease to say, "HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is THE LORD GOD, THE ALMIGHTY, WHO WAS AND WHO IS AND WHO IS TO COME." 9 And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits R243 on the throne, to Him R244 who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four R245 elders will fall R246 down before Him who sits R247 on the throne, and will worship Him R248 who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns R249 before the throne, saying, 11 "Worthy R250 are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created R251 all things, and because of Your will they existed, F46 and were created."
1 I saw in F47 the right hand of Him who sat R252 on the throne a book R253F48 written inside and on the back, sealed R254 up with seven seals. 2 And I saw a strong R255 angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the book F49 and to break its seals?" 3 And no one in R256 heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the book F50 or to look into it. 4 Then I began to weep greatly because no one was found worthy to open the book F51 or to look into it; 5 and one of the elders said to me, "Stop weeping; behold, the Lion R257 that is from R258 the tribe of Judah, the Root R259 of David, has overcome so as to open the book F52 and its seven seals."
6 And I saw between F53 the throne (with the four living creatures) and the R260 elders a Lamb R261 standing, as if slain, R262 having seven horns R263 and seven R264 eyes, which are the R265 seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth. 7 And He came and took the R266 book out of the right hand of Him who sat R266 on the throne. 8 When He had taken the book, F54 the four R267 living creatures and the twenty-four R268 elders fell R269 down before the Lamb, R270 each one holding a harp R271 and golden R272 bowls full of incense, which are the prayers R273 of the saints. F559 And they sang a new R274 song, saying, "Worthy R275 are You to take the book F56 and to break its seals; for You were slain, R276 and purchased R277 for God with Your blood men from every R278 tribe and tongue and people and nation. 10 "You have made them to be a kingdom R279 and priests R279 to our God; and they will reign R280 upon the earth." 11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around R281 the throne and the living R282 creatures and the elders; R283 and the number of them was myriads R284 of myriads, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice, "Worthy R285 is the Lamb R286 that was slain R286 to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing." 13 And every R287 created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, "To Him who sits R288 on the throne, and to the Lamb, R289 be R290 blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever." 14 And the four R291 living creatures kept saying, "Amen." R292 And the elders R293 fell R294 down and worshiped.
1 Then I saw when the Lamb R295 broke one of the seven R296 seals, and I heard one of the four R297 living creatures saying as with a voice R298 of thunder, "Come." F572 I looked, and behold, a white R299 horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a R300 crown was given to him, and he went out conquering R301 and to conquer.
3 When He broke the second seal, I heard the second R302 living creature saying, "Come." F584 And another, a R303 red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take R304 peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him. 5 When He broke the third seal, I heard the third R305 living creature saying, "Come." F59 I looked, and behold, a black R306 horse; and he who sat on it had a pair R307 of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four R308 living creatures saying, "A quart F60 of wheat for a denarius, F61 and three quarts F60 of barley for a denarius; F61 and do R309 not damage the oil and the wine." 7 When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth R310 living creature saying, "Come." F628 I looked, and behold, an ashen R311F63 horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; R312 and Hades R312 was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to R313 kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence F64 and by the wild beasts of the earth.
9 When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath R314 the altar R315 the souls R316 of those who had been slain because R317 of the word of God, and because of the testimony R318 which they had maintained; 10 and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "How R319 long, O Lord, R320F65 holy R321 and true, will F66 You refrain from judging R322 and avenging our blood on those R323 who dwell on the earth?" 11 And there R324 was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest R325 for a little while longer, until R326 the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed R327 also. 12 I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; R328 and the sun R329 became black as sackcloth R330 made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; 13 and the R331 stars of the sky fell to the earth, as R332 a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind. 14 The R333 sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every R334 mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 Then the R335 kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders F67 and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; 16 and they said R336 to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the presence F68 of Him who R337 sits on the throne, and from the wrath R338 of the Lamb; 17 for the R339 great day of their wrath has come, and who R340 is able to stand?"
1 After this I saw four R341 angels standing at the four R342 corners of the earth, holding back the R343 four winds of the earth, so R344 that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from R345 the rising of the sun, having the seal R346 of the R347 living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four R348 angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, "Do R349 not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed R350 the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads." R3514 And I heard the number R352 of those who were sealed, one R353 hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel: 5 from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand, 6 from the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand, 7 from the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand, 8 from the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand were sealed. 9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every R354 nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before R355 the throne and before R356 the Lamb, clothed in white R357 robes, and palm R358 branches were in their hands; 10 and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation R359 to our God who R360 sits on the throne, and to the Lamb." 11 And all the angels were standing around R361 the throne and around the R361 elders and the four R362 living creatures; and they fell R363 on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, "Amen, R364 blessing R365 and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen." R364
13 Then one of the elders answered, R366 saying to me, "These who are clothed in the white R367 robes, who are they, and where have they come from?" 14 I said F69 to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great R368 tribulation, and they have washed R369 their robes and made them white R370 in the blood R371 of the Lamb. 15 "For this reason, they are before R372 the throne of God; and they serve R373 Him day and night in His temple; R374F70 and He R375 who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle R376 over them. 16 "They R377 will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat F71 down on them, nor any heat; 17 for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, R378 and will guide them to springs of the water R379F72 of life; and God R380 will wipe every tear from their eyes."
1 When the Lamb broke the seventh R381 seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the R382 seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets R383 were given to them. 3 Another R384 angel came and stood at the altar, R385 holding a golden R386 censer; and much incense R387 was given to him, so that he might add F73 it to the prayers R387 of all the saints F74 on the golden R388 altar which was before the throne. 4 And the R389 smoke of the incense, with F75 the prayers of the saints, F76 went up before God out of the angel's hand. 5 Then the angel took F77 the censer and filled R390 it with the fire of the altar, and threw R391 it to the earth; and there followed peals R392 of thunder and sounds and flashes of lightning and an earthquake. R3936 And R394 the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound them.
7 The first sounded, and there came hail R395 and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth; and a R396 third of the earth was burned up, and a R396 third of the trees R397 were burned up, and all the green grass R397 was burned up. 8 The second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain R398 burning with fire was thrown into the sea; and a R399 third of the sea R400 became blood, 9 and a R401 third of the creatures which were in the sea and F78 had life, died; and a third of the ships R402 were destroyed. 10 The third angel sounded, and a great star fell R403 from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third R404 of the rivers and on the springs R405 of waters. 11 The name of the star is called Wormwood; and a third R406 of the waters became wormwood, R407 and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter. 12 The fourth angel sounded, and a third R408 of the sun R409 and a third of the moon R409 and a third R408 of the stars R409 were struck, so that a third R408 of them would be darkened and the day would not shine for a third R408 of it, and the night in the same way. 13 Then I looked, and I heard an F79 eagle flying in midheaven, R410 saying with a loud voice, "Woe, R411 woe, woe to those R412 who dwell on the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three R413 angels who are about to sound!"
1 Then the fifth R414 angel sounded, and I saw a star R415 from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the key R416 of the bottomless R417F80 pit was given to him. 2 He opened the bottomless F81 pit, and smoke R418 went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the R419 sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. 3 Then out of the smoke came locusts R420 upon F82 the earth, and power was given them, as the scorpions R421 of the earth have power. 4 They were told not to hurt R422 the grass R423 of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal R424 of God on their foreheads. 5 And they F83 were not permitted to kill anyone, F84 but to torment for five R425 months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion R426 when it stings F85 a man. 6 And in those days men R427 will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death flees from them. 7 The appearance R428F86 of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads appeared to be crowns like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. 8 They had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth R429 were like the teeth of lions. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron; and the sound R430 of their wings was like the sound of chariots, of many horses rushing to battle. 10 They have tails like scorpions, R431 and stings; and in their tails R432 is their power to hurt men for five R433 months. 11 They have as king over them, the angel of the abyss; R434 his name in Hebrew R435 is Abaddon, R436F87 and in the Greek he has the name Apollyon. F8812 The R437 first woe is past; behold, two woes are still coming after these things.
13 Then the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a F89 voice from the four F90 horns R438 of the golden R439 altar which is before God, 14 one saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four R440 angels who are bound at the great R441 river Euphrates." 15 And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released, R442 so that they would kill a third R443 of mankind. F9116 The number of the armies of the horsemen was two R444 hundred million; I R445 heard the number of them. 17 And this F92 is how I saw in R446 the vision the horses and those who sat on them: the riders had breastplates the color of fire and of hyacinth and of brimstone; R447F93 and the heads of the horses are like the heads of lions; and out R448 of their mouths proceed fire and smoke and brimstone. R447F9318 A third R449 of mankind F94 was killed by these three plagues, by the fire R450 and the smoke and the brimstone F95 which proceeded out of their mouths. 19 For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents and have heads, and with them they do harm. 20 The rest of mankind, F96 who were not killed by these plagues, did R451 not repent of the R452 works of their hands, so as not to worship R453 demons, and the R454 idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; 21 and they did R455 not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries R456 nor of their immorality R457 nor of their thefts.
1 I saw another strong R458 angel coming R459 down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud; and the rainbow R460 was upon his head, and his R461 face was like the sun, and his feet R462 like pillars of fire; 2 and he had in his hand a little R463 book which was open. He placed his R464 right foot on the sea and his left on the land; 3 and he cried out with a loud voice, as R465 when a lion roars; and when he had cried out, the seven R466 peals of thunder uttered F97 their voices. 4 When the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I R467 was about to write; and I heard R468 a voice from heaven saying, "Seal R469 up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken and do not write them." 5 Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted R470 up his right hand to heaven, 6 and R471 swore by Him R472 who lives forever and ever, WHO CREATED HEAVEN AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE EARTH AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE SEA AND THE THINGS IN IT, that there R474 will be delay no longer, 7 but in the days of the voice of the seventh R475 angel, when he is about to sound, then the R476 mystery of God is finished, as He preached F98 to His servants the prophets.
8 Then the R477 voice which I heard from heaven, I heard again speaking with me, and saying, "Go, take the R478 book F99 which is open in the hand of the angel who stands R478 on the sea and on the land." 9 So I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book. And he said to me, "Take R479 it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey." 10 I took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter. 11 And they R480 said to me, "You must prophesy R481 again concerning many R482 peoples and nations and tongues and kings." R483
1 Then there was given me a measuring R484F100 rod like a staff; and F101 someone R485 said, "Get up and measure the temple F102 of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. 2 "Leave F103 out the court R486 which is outside the temple F104 and do not measure it, for it R487 has been given to the nations; and they will tread R487 under foot the R488 holy city for forty-two R489 months.
3 "And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, R490 and they will prophesy for twelve R491 hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth." R4924 These are the two R493 olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. 5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire R494 flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he R495 must be killed in this way. 6 These have the power to shut R496 up the sky, so that rain will not fall during the R497 days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to turn R498 them into blood, and to R499 strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. 7 When they have finished their testimony, the R500 beast that comes up out of the abyss R501 will make R502 war with them, and overcome them and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great R503 city which mystically F105 is called Sodom R504 and Egypt, R505 where also their Lord was crucified. 9 Those from the R506 peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies F106 for three and a half days, and will R507F107 not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. 10 And those R508 who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will send R509 gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those R508 who dwell on the earth. 11 But after the three and a half days, the R510 breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were watching them. 12 And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come R511 up here." Then they went R512 up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them. 13 And in that hour there was a great earthquake, R513 and a tenth of the city fell; seven F108 thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave R514 glory to the God R515 of heaven.
14 The second woe R516 is past; behold, the third woe is coming quickly. 15 Then the seventh R517 angel sounded; and there were loud R518 voices in heaven, saying, "The R519 kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His R520 Christ; F109 and He R521 will reign forever and ever." 16 And the twenty-four elders, who sit R522 on their thrones before God, fell R523 on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying, "We give You thanks, O R524 Lord God, the Almighty, who are and who were, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign. R52518 "And the R526 nations were enraged, and Your R527 wrath came, and the R528 time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward F110 Your bond-servants R529 the prophets and the saints F111 and those who fear Your name, the R530 small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth." 19 And the R531 temple F112 of God which is in heaven was opened; and the R532 ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, F112 and there were flashes of lightning R533 and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great R534 hailstorm. F113
1 A great sign R535 appeared in R536 heaven: a R537 woman clothed R538 with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; 2 and she was with child; and she cried R539 out, being in labor and in pain to give birth. 3 Then another R540 sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon R541 having seven R542 heads and ten R543 horns, and on his heads were seven R544 diadems. 4 And his tail swept away a third R545 of the stars of heaven and threw R546 them to the earth. And the dragon R547 stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he R548 might devour her child. 5 And she R549 gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule R550F114 all the nations F115 with a rod of iron; and her child was caught R551 up to God and to His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she F116 would be nourished for one R552 thousand two hundred and sixty days. 7 And there was war in heaven, Michael R553 and his angels waging war with the dragon. R554 The dragon and his R555 angels waged war, 8 and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. 9 And the great dragon R556 was thrown down, the serpent R557 of old who is called the devil and Satan, R558 who deceives R559 the whole world; F117 he was thrown R560 down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10 Then I heard a R561 loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation, R562 and the power, and the kingdom R561 of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser R563 of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. 11 "And they overcame R564 him because of the R565 blood of the Lamb and because of the R566 word of their testimony, and they did R567 not love their life even when F118 faced with death.
12 "For this reason, rejoice, R568 O heavens and you R569 who dwell F119 in them. Woe R570 to the earth and the sea, because the R571 devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a R572 short time." 13 And when the dragon R573 saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the R574 woman who gave birth to the male child. 14 But the two R575 wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into R576 the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a R577 time and times and half a time, from the presence F120 of the serpent. 15 And the serpent R578 poured F121 water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. 16 But F122 the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured F123 out of his mouth. 17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make R579 war with the rest of her children, R580F124 who keep R581 the commandments of God and hold R582 to the testimony of Jesus. 18
1 And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. F125 Then I saw a beast R583 coming up out of the sea, having ten R584 horns and seven R584 heads, and on his horns were ten R585 diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous R586 names. 2 And the beast which I saw was like R587 a leopard, and his feet were like those of a R588 bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a R589 lion. And the dragon R590 gave him his power and his throne R591 and great authority. 3 I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, F126 and his fatal R592 wound was healed. And the whole earth was R593 amazed and followed after the beast; 4 they worshiped the dragon R594 because he gave R594 his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who R595 is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?" 5 There was given to him a mouth speaking R596 arrogant F127 words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two R597 months was given to him. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those R598 who dwell F128 in heaven. 7 It was also given to him to make R599 war with the saints F129 and to overcome them, and authority over every R600 tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. 8 All who dwell R601 on the earth will worship him, everyone whose R602 name has not been written F130 from R603 the foundation of the world in the book R604 of life of the R605 Lamb who has been slain. 9 If R606 anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 If R607 anyone is F131 destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if R608 anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the R609 perseverance F132 and the faith of the saints. F133
11 Then I R610 saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two R611 horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon. R61212 He exercises R613 all the authority of the first beast in R614F134 his presence. And he makes the R615 earth and those who dwell in it to worship R616 the first beast, whose fatal R617 wound was healed. 13 He performs R618 great signs, so that he even makes fire R619 come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. 14 And he deceives R620 those R621 who dwell on the earth because of the R622 signs which it was given him to perform in R623F135 the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound R624 of the sword and has come to life. 15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak F136 and cause as R625 many as do not worship R626 the image of the beast to be killed. 16 And he causes all, the R627 small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to F137 be given a mark R628 on their right hand or on their forehead, 17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, R629 either the R630 name of the beast or the R631 number of his name. 18 Here R632 is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of R633 a man; and his number is six F138 hundred and sixty-six.
1 Then I looked, and behold, the R634 Lamb was standing on Mount R635 Zion, and with Him one R636 hundred and forty-four thousand, having His R637 name and the name R637 of His Father written on R638 their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the R639 sound of many waters and like the sound R640 of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists R641 playing on their harps. 3 And they sang F139 a R642 new song before the throne and before the four R643 living creatures and the elders; R644 and no R645 one could learn the song except the one R646 hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased R642 from the earth. 4 These R647 are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have F140 kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow R648 the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased R649 from among men as R650 first fruits to God and to the Lamb. 5 And no R651 lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless. R652
6 And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, R653 having an R654 eternal gospel to preach to those R655 who live F141 on the earth, and to every R656 nation and tribe and tongue and people; 7 and he said with a loud voice, "Fear R657 God, and give R658 Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made R659 the heaven and the earth and sea and springs R660 of waters." 8 And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, "Fallen, R661F142 fallen is Babylon R662 the great, she who has made R663 all the nations drink of the wine R664 of the passion F143 of her immorality." 9 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships R665 the beast and his image, R666 and receives a mark R667 on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he also will drink of the wine R668 of the wrath of God, which is mixed in F144 full strength in R669 the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire R670 and brimstone F145 in the presence of the holy R671 angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 "And the smoke R672 of their torment goes up forever and ever; they R673 have no rest day and night, those who worship R674 the beast and his image, R674 and whoever F146 receives the mark R675 of his name." 12 Here is the R676 perseverance F147 of the saints F148 who keep R677 the commandments of God and their R678F149 faith in Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, "Write, `Blessed R679 are the dead who die R680 in the Lord from now on!' " "Yes," says R681 the Spirit, "so that they may rest R682 from their labors, for their deeds R683 follow with them." 14 Then I looked, and behold, a white R684 cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like R685 a F150 son of man, having a golden crown R686 on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. 15 And another angel came R687 out of the temple, F151 crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Put R688F152 in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest R689 of the earth is F153 ripe." 16 Then He who sat on the cloud swung F154 His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came R690 out of the temple F155 which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. 18 Then another angel, the R691 one who has power over fire, came out from the R692 altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Put R693F156 in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters from F157 the vine of the earth, because R694 her grapes are ripe." 19 So the angel swung F158 his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into the R695 great wine press of the wrath of God. 20 And the R696 wine press was trodden outside R697 the city, and blood R698 came out from the wine press, up to the horses' bridles, for F159 a distance of two F160 hundred miles.
1 Then I saw another R699 sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven R700 angels who had seven R701 plagues, which are the R702 last, because in them the wrath of God is finished. 2 And I saw something like a sea R703 of glass mixed with fire, and those who had been R704 victorious over F161 the beast R705 and his R706 image and the number R707 of his name, standing on the sea R703 of glass, holding harps R708 of God. 3 And they sang the song R709 of Moses, the R710 bond-servant of God, and the song R711 of the Lamb, saying, "Great R712 and marvelous are Your works, O R713 Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Your ways, King R714 of the nations! F1624 "Who R715 will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For ALL THE NATIONS WILL COME AND WORSHIP BEFORE YOU, FOR YOUR RIGHTEOUS ACTS HAVE BEEN REVEALED."
5 After these things I looked, and the R718 temple F164 of the tabernacle R719 of testimony in heaven was opened, 6 and the seven R720 angels who had the seven plagues came R721 out of the temple, F165 clothed in linen, F166 clean and bright, and girded R722 around their chests with golden sashes. 7 Then one of the four R723 living creatures gave to the seven R724 angels seven golden R725 bowls full of the wrath R726 of God, who lives R727 forever and ever. 8 And the temple F167 was filled with smoke R728 from the glory of God and from His power; and no one was able to enter the temple F167 until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.
1 Then I heard a loud voice from the R729 temple, F168 saying to the seven R730 angels, "Go and pour R731 out on F169 the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God." 2 So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on R732F170 the earth; and it became a loathsome and malignant sore R733 on the people F171 who R734 had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image. 3 The second angel poured out his bowl into R735 the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living thing F172 in the sea died. 4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers R736 and the springs of waters; and they became R737 blood. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying, "Righteous R738 are You, who R739 are and who were, O Holy R740 One, because You judged R741 these things; 6 for they poured out the R742 blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood R743 to drink. They deserve F173 it." 7 And I heard the R744 altar saying, "Yes, O Lord R745 God, the Almighty, true R746 and righteous are Your judgments."
8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the R747 sun, and R748 it was given to it to scorch men with fire. 9 Men were scorched with fierce F174 heat; and they blasphemed R749 the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did R750 not repent so as to give R751 Him glory. 10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne R752 of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened; R753 and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, 11 and they blasphemed R754 the God R755 of heaven because of their pains and their sores; R756 and they did R757 not repent of their deeds.
12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great R758 river, the Euphrates; and its R759 water was dried up, so that the R760 way would be prepared for the kings from R761 the east. F17513 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon R762 and out of the mouth of the beast R763 and out of the mouth of the false R764 prophet, three unclean R765 spirits like frogs; R76614 for they are spirits R767 of demons, performing R768 signs, which go out to the kings of the whole R769 world, F176 to gather R770 them together for the war of the great R771 day of God, the Almighty. 15 ("Behold, I R772 am coming like a thief. Blessed R773 is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so R774 that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.") 16 And they gathered R775 them together to the place which in R776 Hebrew is called Har-Magedon. R777F177
17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the R778 air, and a loud R779 voice came out of the temple R780F178 from the throne, saying, "It R781 is done." 18 And there were flashes of lightning R782 and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a R783 great earthquake, such R784 as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. 19 The R785 great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations F179 fell. Babylon R786 the great was remembered R787 before God, to give her the R788 cup of the wine of His F180 fierce wrath. 20 And every R789 island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And huge R790 hailstones, F181 about one F182 hundred pounds each, came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed R791 God because of the plague R792 of the hail, because its plague was extremely severe. F183
1 Then R793 one of the seven R794 angels who had the seven R795 bowls came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here, I will show you the R796 judgment of the great R797 harlot who sits R798 on many waters, 2 with whom the R799 kings of the earth committed acts of immorality, and those R800 who dwell on the earth were made R801 drunk with the wine of her immorality." 3 And he R802 carried me away in R803F184 the Spirit into R804 a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet R805 beast, full of blasphemous R806 names, having seven R807 heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was R808 clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned F185 with gold and precious stones F186 and pearls, having in her hand a R809 gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality, 5 and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery, R810 "BABYLON R811 THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE R812 ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." 6 And I saw the woman drunk with the R813 blood of the saints, F187 and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered greatly. F188
7 And the angel said to me, "Why do F189 you wonder? I will tell you the mystery R814 of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven R815 heads and the ten horns. 8 "The R816 beast that you saw was, R817 and is not, and is about to come R818 up out of the abyss R819 and go R820F190 to destruction. And those R821 who dwell on the earth, whose R822 name has not been written in the book of life from R823 the foundation of the world, will wonder R824 when they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come. 9 "Here R825 is the mind which has wisdom. The seven R826 heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits, 10 and they are seven kings; R827 five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when he comes, he must remain a little while. 11 "The beast which was R828 and is not, is himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and he goes R829 to destruction. 12 "The ten R830 horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for R831 one hour. 13 "These have one R832 purpose, F191 and they give their power and authority to the beast.
14 "These will wage war R833 against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome R834 them, because He is Lord R835 of lords and King R835 of kings, and those R836 who are with Him are the called R837 and chosen and faithful." 15 And he said to me, "The waters R838 which you saw where the harlot sits, are peoples R839 and multitudes and nations and tongues. 16 "And the ten R840 horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her desolate R841 and naked, R842 and will eat R843 her flesh and will burn R844 her up with fire. 17 "For God R845 has put it in their hearts to execute His purpose F192 by F193 having R846 a common purpose, and by giving their kingdom to the beast, until the words R847 of God will be fulfilled. 18 "The woman whom you saw is the R848 great city, which reigns F194 over the kings of the earth."
1 After these things I saw another angel R849 coming R850 down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illumined R851 with his glory. 2 And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, "Fallen, R852F195 fallen is Babylon the great! She has R853 become a dwelling place of demons and a prison F196 of every unclean R854 spirit, and a prison F196 of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 "For all the nations have F197 drunk of the wine R855 of the passion F198 of her immorality, and the R856 kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants R857 of the earth have become rich by the wealth F199 of her sensuality." R858F2004 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come R859 out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues; 5 for her sins have piled R860F201 up as high as heaven, and God has remembered R861 her iniquities. 6 "Pay R862 her back even as she has paid, and give F202 back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup R863 which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her. 7 "To R864 the degree that she glorified herself and lived R865 sensuously, F203 to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, `I R866 SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.' 8 "For this reason in R867 one day her plagues will come, pestilence F204 and mourning and famine, and she will be burned R868 up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is R869 strong.
9 "And the R870 kings of the earth, who committed acts of immorality and lived R871 sensuously F205 with her, will weep R872 and lament over her when they see R873 the smoke of her burning, 10 standing R874 at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, `Woe, R875 woe, the R876 great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one R877 hour your judgment has come.' 11 "And the merchants R878 of the earth weep R879 and mourn over her, because no one buys their cargoes any more-- 12 cargoes of gold R880 and silver and precious stones F206 and pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet, and every kind of citron wood and every article of ivory and every article made from very costly wood and bronze F207 and iron and marble, 13 and cinnamon and spice F208 and incense and perfume and frankincense and wine and olive oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep, and cargoes of horses and chariots and slaves F209 and human R881F210 lives. 14 "The fruit you F211 long for has gone from you, and all things that were luxurious and splendid have passed away from you and men will no longer find them. 15 "The merchants R882 of these R883 things, who became rich from her, will stand R884 at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning, 16 saying, `Woe, R885 woe, the R886 great city, she who was R887 clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned F212 with gold and precious stones F213 and pearls; 17 for in one R888 hour such great wealth has been laid waste!' R889 And every R890 shipmaster and every passenger F214 and sailor, and as many as make their living by the sea, stood R888 at a distance, 18 and were crying R891 out as they saw R892 the smoke of her burning, saying, `What R893 city is like the R894 great city?' 19 "And they threw dust R895 on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, `Woe, R896 woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became R897 rich by her wealth, F215 for in one R896 hour she has been laid waste!' R89820 "Rejoice R899 over her, O heaven, and you saints F216 and apostles R900 and prophets, because God R901 has pronounced F217 judgment for you against her." 21 Then a F218 strong R902 angel took R903 up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "So will Babylon, the R904 great city, be thrown down with violence, and will R905 not be found any longer. 22 "And the R906 sound of harpists and musicians and flute-players and trumpeters will not be heard in you any longer; and no craftsman of any craft will be found in you any longer; and the sound R907 of a mill will not be heard in you any longer; 23 and the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; and the voice R908 of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any longer; for your merchants R909 were the great men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by R910 your sorcery. 24 "And in her was found the blood R911 of prophets and of saints F219 and of all R912 who have been slain on the earth."
