Yet I will remember my covenant with you . . . I will establish with you an everlasting covenant.Although the Israelites had broken their promises and did not deserve anything but punishment, God would not break his promises. If the people turned back to him, he would again forgive them and renew his covenant. This covenant was put into effect when Jesus paid for the sins of all humanity by his death on the cross. No one is beyond the reach of God's forgiveness. Although we don't deserve anything but punishment for our sins, God will not break his promise to give us salvation and forgiveness if we repent and turn to him.
No matter what you have done in your life, God promises forgiveness and salvation.
