Stephanas
Holman Bible Dictionary
(sstehf' uh nuhss) Personal name meaning, “crown.” A believer who, along with his family, was baptized by Paul (1 Corinthians 1:16 ). He lived in Achaia and apparently was among the first converts of Paul's ministry there. Stephanas may have delivered a letter from the Corinthian church to Paul while the apostle was in Ephesus (1 Corinthians 16:17 ). From existing evidence it is uncertain whether these two are the same man.
