"to bind," is rendered "to tie" in Matthew 21:2; Mark 11:2,4; Luke 19:30 . See BIND.

2: προτείνω

(Strong's #4385 — Verb — proteino — prot-i'-no )

"to stretch out or forth," is used of preparations for scourging, Acts 22:25 , RV, "had tied (him) up" (AV, "bound").
