VAGABOND . Genesis 4:12 ‘a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth’ i.e. a wanderer, as AV [Note: Authorized Version.] Acts 19:12 ‘certain of the vagabond Jews,’ RV [Note: Revised Version.] ‘strolling.’ In both places the word is used in its older and literal meaning (from Lat. vagari , to wander).
