Ion. ἐνθεῦτεν, Adv., (related to ἔνθεν, as ἐνταῦθα to ἔνθα):

I of Place, hence or thence, Od. 19.568, Hdt. 1.2, al., A. Pr. 836, Pers. 488, Th. 8.42, etc.; τὸ γένος ἐ. ποθεν ἐκ Χίου Pl. Euthd. 271c; τἀντεῦθεν matters there, i.e. in the house, S. El. 1339; ἐ. καὶ ἐ. LXX Numbers 22:24, John 19:18; ἐ. κἀκεῖθεν Sch.D.T. p.29H.; ἐντεῦθεν εἰς τυχόν 'go to Jericho', Men. Pk. 184.

II of Time, henceforth, thereupon, S. El. 728, Ph. 384 (lyr., dub. l.), etc.; also τὸ ἐ. Hdt. 1.9, 27, al., Pl. Tht. 198b; Att. also τοὐντεῦθεν E. Med. 792, al.; τἀντεῦθεν A. Eu. 60; τὸ ἐ. ἐπὶ τούτοις Ael. NA 8.17.

Numbers 22:24; Daniel 12:5 Theod.); metaphorically, hence, i. e. from that cause or origin, from this source, equivalent to ἐκ τούτου (see ἐκ, II:8), James 4:1 ( Winer s Grammar, 161 (152); Buttmann, 400 (342)).

(h).16 (= p. 164) ἐντεῦθεν δὲ π ̣αρέλαβεν ὁ αὐτὸς παρὰ τοῦ Πβήκιος τὸ προκείμενον [π ]λοῖον, ib. (k).16 (p. 167), and ib. 948.6 (A.D. 236) (= III. p. 220) ἀφ᾽ ὧν ἐντεῦθεν ἔσχεν ἀργ (υρίου) δραχμὰς τεσσεράκοντα. In P Oxy X. 1277.11 (A.D. 255) we have ἃς (sc. δραχμὰς) καὶ ἐντεῦθεν ἀπέσχον, ";which I thereupon received"; : cf. P Tebt II. 378.11 (A.D. 265) ἐντεῦθεν δὲ ἔσχον παρ᾽ ὑμῶν εἰς ἀνάκτ [ησιν ] ἔργων τῶν ἀρουρῶν, ";and I have received forthwith from you for the restoration of the operations upon the land"; (Edd.), P Ryl II. 96.9 (A.D. 117–8) ἐντεῦθεν ὑπεχόμεθα, ";we henceforth undertake,"; and so P Giss I. 6 ii. 11 (A.D. 117). In P Oxy VI. 930.3 (ii/iii A.D.) μὴ ὄκνι μοι [γ ]ράφειν καὶ περὶ ὧν ἐ [ ]ν χρείαν ἔχῃς. ἐντεῦθεν ἐλοιπήθην (l. ἐλυπήθην) κτλ., ἐντεῦθεν may = ";forthwith"; or ";therefore"; : see the editors’ note. Ἐντεῦθεν ἤδη in Byzantine documents (e.g. P Iand 48.17—A.D. 582) = ";now.";
