Vocabulary of the Greek NT

";of a talent’s weight or value"; (cf. Moulton Gr. ii. p. 337), is found in the NT only in Revelation 16:21; but, as Swete has pointed out ad l., the word is well supported in later Greek, e.g. Polyb. ix. 41. 8, Joseph. B.J. v. 6. 3. See also the comic author Alcaeus of v/iv B.C., who speaks of νοσήματα ταλαντιαῖα (Kock Fragm. i. p. 759), and Crates of v/B.C. (ib. p. 140).
