חֵטְא m. with suff. חֶטְאִי plur. חֲטָאִים const. חֲטָאֵי (which is from the form חָטָא).

[1] sin, fault, Leviticus 19:17, 22:9. הָיָה חֵטְא בְּ to be sin against any one, i.e. for him to be reckoned guilty in the matter, Deuteronomy 15:9.
