 [מְאוּרָה] noun feminine light-hole — only construct מְאוּרַת — = den of great viper Isaiah 11:8, compare מָאוֺר Mishna Ohaloth Isaiah 13:1 (others eye-ball ᵑ7 Ew De Di).

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

מְאוּרָה f. of the preceding, pr. light, hence a hole, through which light shines into the den of a viper (Lichtloch). Vulg. caverna. Isaiah 11:8. It may also be for מְעוּרָה, מְעָרָה, مغارة cavern, א and ע being interchanged.
