Dead or Alive part 1

Friday, October 18, 2019

Lloyd Pulley

We are currently studying the book of Colossians, and we have reached chapter three. After Paul’s admonishments about false teachings in chapter two, he gives us some challenging words in chapter three about our life in Christ. Are we living dead, or living alive?

You are Complete in Christ - Part 2b - Thursday, October 17, 2019

Today on Bridging the Gap as we continue through Colossians, we’re going to examine the relationship between living under the law and living under the Grace of Jesus Christ. The law exists for a purpose, but too many Christians today are hung up on ritual and laws, because of the popularity of works-based religion. That’s exactly what Paul addresses in the section of Colossians we’ll look at today.

You are Complete in Christ - Part 2a - Wednesday, October 16, 2019

We’re currently enjoying a journey through the book of Colossians, and once again, we see the incredible inspired word of God coming through in this letter from Paul to the church in Colossi. Colossians chapter two has much to teach us about false teachers, and the true source of security and happiness- our Lord Jesus Christ. Will the advent and exponential growth of social media, false teachers are having a great influence on millions of people. What to do?

You are Complete in Christ - Part 1b - Tuesday, October 15, 2019

Today on Bridging the Gap, Pastor Lloyd Pulley will continue our study through Colossians, and we’ll see again the apostle Paul reminding us that it doesn’t matter where your ancestry may be, if you are a born again believer in Jesus Christ, that is where your identity lies - in Him. These words were written so long ago, and yet have such practical application for us today!

You are Complete in Christ - Part 1a - Monday, October 14, 2019

Today on Bridging the Gap, Pastor Lloyd Pulley will show us through a study of God’s word, that there is only one source to turn to for help in becoming a complete person, and it isn't “self”. Jesus Christ is the answer to life’s problems, and the only road to completeness. Pastor Lloyd is going to ask a simple and yet profound question today - who are you?

Essentials for Spiritual Living, Part 2 - Friday, October 11, 2019

To know Jesus and His attributes is to realize that there is no reason to follow any other path but the path that takes us to Him. He paid the full price for our sins, and the rewards of living a life pleasing to Him, and accepting Him as your savior are almost impossible to put into words. We’ve just begun a study of Colossians chapter two. Pastor Lloyd's  study today is titled “Essentials for Spiritual Living”.

Essentials for Spiritual Living, Part 1 - Thursday, October 10, 2019

Today we begin a study of one of the most encouraging and uplifting chapters in the Bible, chapter two of Colossians. It’s a favorite among many because it expresses very eloquently the pure joy of knowing Jesus Christ as Savior, and the essentials of living a Spirit-filled life.

Christ in You the Hope of Glory, Part 2 - Wednesday, October 9, 2019

As we continue our series through Colossians today, we’ll finish up chapter one with the second half of a message titled “Christ In You, The Hope of Glory”. Those seven words, taken from Colossians chapter one, verse twenty-seven, perfectly express what life is all about for the Christian - the glory that awaits us when we have Christ dwelling in us.

Christ in You the Hope of Glory, Part 1 - Tuesday, October 8, 2019

Pastor Lloyd is going to challenge us today to prove our love for the Lord by the way we live our lives. That was Paul’s big thing, wasn’t it? Time after time in his letters in the New Testament, Paul reminds us that saying we love the Lord and proving we love the Lord are two different things altogether. So, what are the signs that we love the Lord? One of them is having a sacrificial attitude.

The Supremacy of Christ, Part 2 - Monday, October 7, 2019

The church Colossi had a lot in common with some churches today. They were faithful for the most part, but they had let some false doctrine seep into their ministry, and needed a reminder that Jesus Christ is supreme above all things and all beings. There are many churches today that are allowing Jesus to take a sort of “back seat”, in favor of other things like financial prosperity and self esteem.
