4:8 increasing; (a-14) These words agree literally with 'fruit,' and must be applied by general allusion either to the plant, or directly to its figurative purport.

Verse 12

4:12 be, (b-20) Or 'perhaps.' see Matthew 13:29 ; Matthew 15:32 ; Matthew 25:9 ; Acts 5:39 ; 'perhaps' is, I suspect, the sense. see also Matthew 5:25 . forgiven. (c-29) See Isaiah 6:9-10 .
