Religious leaders question Jesus on the greatest commandment

Matthew 22:34-40	Mark 12:28-34
Matthew 22:34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.	Mark 12:28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well,
Matthew 22:35 Then one of them, [which was] a lawyer, asked [him a question], tempting him, and saying,	asked him,
Matthew 22:36 Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law?	Which is the first commandment of all?
	Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.	Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:
Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.	this [is] the first commandment.
Matthew 22:39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.	Mark 12:31 And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.	There is none other commandment greater than these.

Mark 12:32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: Mark 12:33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love [his] neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. Mark 12:34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him [any question].

Matthew 22:42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, [The Son] of David.	How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David?	How say they that Christ is David’s son?
Matthew 22:43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,	Mark 12:36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost,	Luke 20:42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms,
Matthew 22:44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,	The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,	The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
till I make thine enemies thy footstool?	till I make thine enemies thy footstool.	Luke 20:43 Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
Matthew 22:45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?	Mark 12:37 David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he [then] his son?	Luke 20:44 David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?
Matthew 22:46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any [man] from that day forth ask him any more [questions].	And the common people heard him gladly.

Luke 20:37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.	Mark 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.	Luke 20:38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
Matthew 22:33 And when the multitude heard [this], they were astonished at his doctrine.		Luke 20:39 Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.
		Luke 20:40 And after that they durst not ask him any [question at all].
