And I also say to you, that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church: and if he refuses to hear the church also, let him be to you as the Gentile and the publican.

And great fear came on the whole church, and on all that heard these things.

And Saul was consenting to his death. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church which was in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

But Saul laid waste the church, entering into every house, and dragging men and women committed them to prison.

Peter therefore was kept in the prison: but prayer was made earnestly of the church to God for him.

Now there were at Antioch, in the church that was [there], prophets and teachers, Barnabas, and Symeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen the foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

And when they had appointed for them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they had believed.

And when they had come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all things that God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.

They therefore, being brought on their way by the church, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy to all the brothers.

And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders, and they rehearsed all things that God had done with them.

Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; [namely], Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brothers:

And when he had landed at Caesarea, he went up and saluted the church, and went down to Antioch.

And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called to him the elders of the church.

Take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of the Lord which he purchased with his own blood.
