  • One of the "dukes" of Edom (Genesis 36:13,17 ).

  • One of the sons of Jesse (1 Samuel 16:9 ). He is also called Shimeah (2 Samuel 13:3 ) and Shimma (1 Chronicles 2:13 ).

  • One of David's three mighty men (2 Samuel 23:11,12 ).

  • One of David's mighties (2 Samuel 23:25 ); called also Shammoth (1 Chronicles 11:27 ) and Shamhuth (27:8).
