Adonikam
Holman Bible Dictionary
(ad oh ni' kuhm) Personal name meaning, “the Lord has arisen.” Family head of 666 persons who returned to Jerusalem with Zerubbabel from Babylon about 537 B.C. (Ezra 2:13 ). Some members of the family returned with Ezra under Xerxes (Ezra 8:13 ). Compare Ezra 7:18 . Some Bible students think Adonikam is the same person as Adonijah in Nehemiah 10:16 .
