Bramble

Holman Bible Dictionary

Shrub (Lycium Europaeum) with sharb spines and runners usually forming a tangled mass of vegetation (see Judges 9:8-15; Luke 6:44 ). It had beautiful, attractive flowers, but its thorns gave flocks trouble. Today, we know that it prevents erosion on mountain slopes.
