Phrase of uncertain meaning (Ezekiel 8:12 ). It could refer to secret rooms containing idols or pictures on the walls (see Ezekiel 8:10 ; Ezekiel 23:14 ) probably related to pagan religions. Whatever “chambers of imagery” refers to, that which was taking place in the Temple during the days of Ezekiel was displeasing to God.
