Chrysolite
Holman Bible Dictionary
The mineral from which the seventh stone of the foundation of the New Jerusalem is made (Revelation 21:20 ). The Greek chrusolithos means, “golden stone,” indicating a yellow-colored stone. It was thus a yellow topaz, beryl, or zircon. The modern chrysolite is green and is not identical with biblical chrysolite. Compare Ezekiel 1:16 . See Jewels.
