Holman Bible Dictionary
(ee' nohss) or ENOSH (ee' nohssh) Personal name meaning, “humanity” or “a man.” The son of Seth and therefore the grandson of Adam (Genesis 4:26 ). The period following his birth is identified as the time when people began to worship Yahweh. See Genesis 5:6-11 .
