(gi' zoh nite) Citizen of Gizah or Gizon, a place not otherwise mentioned. It may be modern beth-Giz southwest of Latrun. David had military leaders from there (1 Chronicles 11:34 ), though Gizonite does not appear in the parallel in 2 Samuel 23:34 . Some Greek manuscript evidence points to Guni as the original reading. See Guni . Some Bible students suggest the original reading was Gimzoni from Gimzo. See Gimzo .
