Hadad
Holman Bible Dictionary
(hay' dad). Personal name meaning, “mighty.” 1. An Edomite king (Genesis 36:35 ). The name Hadad was borne by several members of the royal household of Edom. 2. Hadad was also the name of the chief deity of the Ugaritic pantheon. This deity was identified as a storm-god. See Canaan; Ugarit .
