Hamstring
Holman Bible Dictionary
To cripple by cutting the leg tendons. Horses captured in war were frequently hamstrung (KJV, hough) (Joshua 11:6 ,Joshua 11:6,11:9; 2 Samuel 8:4; 1 Chronicles 18:4 ). The hamstringing of oxen (Genesis 49:6 modern translations) is an example of rash anger.
