Member of tribe of Simeon (1 Chronicles 4:24 , but called Jachin in Numbers 26:12 ). See Ezra 8:16 ). 3 . Priest who pledged under Ezra's leadership to divorce his foreign wife to remove the temptation to worship the foreigners' gods (Ezra 10:18 ).
