Holman Bible Dictionary
(jeh' zuhr) Personal name meaning, “He formed.” Son of Naphtali (Genesis 46:24 ) and founding ancestor of clan in that tribe (Numbers 26:49 ). The name Izri (1 Chronicles 25:11 ) means member of clan of Jezer, and Zeri (1 Chronicles 25:3 ) is probably an abbreviated form of Izri.
