Maadiah
Holman Bible Dictionary
(may uh di' uh) Personal name of uncertain meaning (perhaps “Yah assembles,” “Yahu promises,” or “Yah adorns.”). A priest who returned from Exile with Zerubbabel (Nehemiah 12:5 ). He is perhaps the same as Moadiah (Nehemiah 12:17 ) or Maaziah (Nehemiah 10:8 ).
