Holman Bible Dictionary
(may' dahn) Place name meaning, “site of justice.” Town in Galilee whose king joined in an unsuccessful alliance against Israel (Joshua 11:1; Joshua 12:19 ). The site has been identified as the summit of Qarn Hattim, northwest of Tiberias.
