Mildew
Holman Bible Dictionary
Fungus causing a whitish growth on plants. The Hebrew term rendered mildew means, “paleness.” The term may refer to the yellowing of leaves as a result of drought rather than to a fungus (Deuteronomy 28:22-24; 1 Kings 8:37; 2 Chronicles 6:28; Amos 4:9; Haggai 4:9 ). Mildew is one of the agricultural plagues God sent to encourage repentance.
