Naphath-Dor
Holman Bible Dictionary
(nay' fath-Dawwr) Designation of the region surrounding the coastal city of Dor about fifteen miles west of Megiddo (Joshua 12:23; 1 Kings 4:11 ). The alternate form Naphoth-Dor is used at Joshua 11:2 . KJV translated the term Naphath variously (borders, coasts, regions). NAS rendered the term “height(s),” relegating the Hebrew to the margin; REB, “districts.”
