Nettle
Holman Bible Dictionary
Coarse plants with stinging hairs belonging to the family Urtica; generally, any prickly or stinging plant (Job 30:7; Proverbs 24:31; Isaiah 34:13; Hosea 9:6; Zephaniah 2:9 ). NIV frequently replaced nettles with undergrowth, weeds, or briers. The Hebrew term used at Job 30:7 and Zephaniah 2:9 perhaps refers to wild mustard. Nettles are used as a sign of desolation and judgment.
