Raisin Cakes
Holman Bible Dictionary
Food prepared by pressing dried grapes together. David gave raisin cakes (“flagon,” KJV) to those who accompanied the ark to Jerusalem (2 Samuel 6:19; 1 Chronicles 16:3 NRSV). Hosea 3:1 (NRSV) links raisin cakes with the worship of pagan deities (compare Jeremiah 7:18 ).
