Release, Year of

Resource Toolbox
Additional Links
The Hebrew expression occurs only twice (Deuteronomy 15:9 ; Deuteronomy 31:10 KJV and RSV), both times in reference to the sabbatical year as a year of release from debt. Some confusion results from modern translations using the verb release in connection with both the sabbatical year and the Year of Jubilee. See Jubilee, Year of; Sabbatical Year .
