Reservoir
Holman Bible Dictionary
Place for catching and storing water for later use, either agricultural (2 Chronicles 26:10; Ecclesiastes 2:6 ) or as an urban supply in anticipation of a siege (2 Kings 20:20; Isaiah 22:8-11 ). Reservoirs were a necessity in most of Palestine where seasonal rains were the major water source.
