(ssay' rihd) Place name meaning, “survivor.” Border town of tribe of Zebulun (Joshua 19:10 ). Spelled Sedud by some early versions, Sarid is probably modern tell Shadud at the northern edge of the Jezreel Valley about six miles northeast of Megiddo and five miles southeast of Nazareth.
