Holman Bible Dictionary
(ssee' far) Place name perhaps meaning, “numbering, census.” Eastern border of sons of Joktan (Genesis 10:30 ). The site is apparently in southern Arabia, perhaps the coastal town of Tsaphar in Oman or Itsphar south of Hadramaut.
