Holman Bible Dictionary
(sshay gih) Father of one of David's military heroes (1 Chronicles 11:34 ). The parallel text in 2 Samuel 23:1 has two similar names: 2 Samuel 23:11 , Shammah the son of Agee; 2 Samuel 23:33 , Shammah the Hararite. Shage may represent a combination of the two Hebrew words Shammah and Agee.
