Pinchers for holding coals (1 Kings 7:49; 2 Chronicles 4:21; Isaiah 6:6 ). KJV used tongs at Exodus 25:38; Numbers 4:9 where modern translations read snuffers (NAS, NRSV) or wicktrimmers (NIV).
