Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible
PELONITE. A designation applied to two of David’s heroes ( 1 Chronicles 11:27; 1 Chronicles 11:35 ). For the former see Paltite. In the second case ‘ Pelonite ’ is prob. a scribal error for ‘ Gilonite .’
