Apostolic King
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Hereditary title borne by the kings of Hungary. Saint Stephen (c.975-1038) is supposed to have received it from Pope Sylvester II. It was first used by Emperor Leopold I (1657-1705) as King of Hungary.
