A congregation founded at Liege, 1833, by Jeanne Haze (Mother Marie-Therese), the cause of whose beatification has been introduced, and Canon Habets, with rules based on those of Saint Ignatius. The life of the sisters is both contemplative and active; they undertake all manner of charitable works, especially the education of poor girls. The congregation conducts about 140 establishments, including schools, orphanages, hospitals, homes, and seminaries, in Belgium and the Belgian Congo, England, Ireland, and India.
