Forgery

1910 New Catholic Dictionary

A fraudulent interference with, or alteration of truth, to the prejudice of a third person. In canon law, forgery may be by word, as false testimony; or by writing, as falsifiication of a document; or by deed, as counterfeiting money; and finally it is also the conscious utilization of such forgery.
