O'higgins, Bernardo

Patriot; son of Ambrose Bernard O'Higgins; born Chillan, Chile, August 20, 1778; died Lima, Peru, October 24, 1842. He took part in the revolutionary war against Spain, and was hailed as the liberator of Chile.
