The heap of witness; so rendered in the margins of our Bibles. (See Genesis 31:47-55.) Jacob called it Galeed and Mizpah; as if he had said, let the Galeed be witness, and this Mizpah be witness, There is something very tender and interesting in this parting of natural ties never to meet again.
