V.—Revised Version; Sept.=Septuagint, or Greek Version of the Old Testament; ä, as in fär; â, as in câre; ê, as in thêre; ë, as in tërm; ï, as in pïque; ô, as in fôr; ôô, as in fôôd; ŏŏ, as in fŏŏt; û, as in fûrl; the other abbreviations are self-explanatory.
